went for the incredibles premiere on mon due to some pulling of strings from my fren. luckily its free, i would never have pay to watch this show. definately not worth $6.50 or any money for that matter. predictable story line, nothing special. a few funny moments here and there but i bet i would have been able to make u laugh more times in the span of 2 hours. in fact i was forced to laugh along at their jokes coz if i didnt do that, i would have fallen asleep =( . but i guess it would have been entertaining for its intended age group.
started on a new part time job while waiting for my temperature screening thingy. im now a part time door to door surveyor. im supposed to go to the addresses given to me and ask the specified person to complete a 7 page survey on sports. and i will get $9 for each survey done and $10 each from the 16th person onwards. sounds easy rite? thats coz u all haven done any door to door stuff before =p . from my previous experience with door to door publicity for an annual children camp that i helped to organise, im expecting a lot of household not to open their doors at all. even when its so obvious that there are people at home. like when u can hear sounds coming from the tv from outside the house but once u knock, the tv will go mute. thats just the mentality of singaporeans. they would rather be rude and not answer the bell instead of spending 30 secs of their time politely declining any offers the person has to make. and its not like we are trying to sell anything. dont they know that door to door sales is soo~ passe now? anyway i left my house at ard 8.30pm to start on the surveys...couldnt start earlier coz went to clementi to meet someone. only managed to go to 5 household before 10pm coz they are all a few blocks away. guess what? only 1 person did the survey. the rest of the houses were genuinely empty. couldnt believe my luck. 80% of the singaporeans are out on a weekday night? and a tuesday night at that! shouldnt there at least be a housewife or some small kids watching tv at home? curse my luck...
hmm...im supposed to help out at a beauty pageant tomorrow night. miss chinatown 2004. will be paid to play some cds/music. that means i wont be able to do the survey thing. i need to call on all the houses in the list before next tue but i wont be in sg for the weekend. i need help. anybody wanna do? the household are all near yck/bishan/amk area. the earnings will be entirely yours :D
