camp mumbo rocks!!! just came back from the children camp yesterday. so dead tired at work today...came home right after work to catch up on my sleep.
was supposed to meet up with jl, fel and wx at 7.30pm on fri to go to the camp together. fell asleep after reaching home from work and woke at 6.30pm...jumped right out of bed coz i havent pack my bag yet. rushed off to bishan at 7 to buy a sandals for the camp. the shop assistant at sports connection told me there's no size for me except those expensive ones coz they are having a sale. went looking round the whole j8 but couldnt find any sandals! went back to sports connection intending to get size 12 out of desperation. but a different shop assistant managed to find a size 11 for me even though the design sucks. it was dirt cheap after a huge discount. $4.50 for a pair of overland sandals!! haha. by then i was very very late. reached amk at ard 8.30..... felt so guilty that i keep apologising. apparently they found my sheepishness comical =(
couldnt have reached at a better time. they were starting the night activity where the chief instructor (CI) is going to be kidnapped by monsters. after a grand introduction to the kids ;) , we had a good time chasing after the monsters and using the spells we learn against other grps. i "spoiled the market" by teaching the kids spells that are not part of the game and told them its the most powerful spells :p . the other grps were stunned when they saw our spells, couldnt stop laughing at their reactions :D . the kids really enjoy boo-ing and bombing other grps...haa. after the night activity ended, they had the doughnut they made themselves for supper. hmm...quite tasty (",). at 1200 its was time for the kids to sleep and for the instructors to have our looong debrief....
