just came back from olip today. the past few days have been quite hectic. no time and too tired to blog. been busy wif the camp preparation of camp mumbo and training. almost meeting everyday to do all the grp id, campfire id, banner etc. feel quite bad that the friend i brought couldnt make it for our meetings coz everyone is working so hard. more so because there were a few times where she couldnt make it at the last min and i've already told my grp leader that she's coming. tis is the 1st time i brought someone to the camp and its not a very gd start...haha. well, couldnt blame her also as she had already started sch and was quite busy. at least she came for the olip :D
olip was fun! basically it was a night of water bombing. we started off with some ice breakers and campfire songs followed by a solo walk. the solo walk was not scary at all for me coz i've been through worse. but they couldnt make it too tough coz there are some really young instructors tis time round. and also the committee din have enough time to recce the place. while waiting for everyone to finish the solo walk, we played a game called "stone water bird" taught by jialing. essentially its just another version of scissors paper stone with the winning grp attempting to catch the losing grp before they can reach their safety point. it was very entertaining because of the confusion as we were not used to using other symbols. lastly the main item of the night came up. its supposed to be a round island (pulau ubin) war game between the grps with capturing of flag, defending of base, water bombs, maintaining the "holy fire" at the neutral ground. the idea was very good la but the implementation isnt that fantastic coz of some restrictions in reality :O . nonetheless the game was quite fun as we bombed other grps, merged with another grp and managed to scare off one grp with our aggressiveness even when we din have any water bombs left :P . it ended with us bombing our own grp members who were still dry ;) .
watched bridget jones after my grp meeting on fri. was supposed to chill at indochine b4 catching the midnight show but the place was just so packed. after going places, we ended back at lido to have our very late dinner. wanted to watch shutter but lido is not screening it. so watched bridget jones loh. not too bad la...
*sighs*. one month of holiday has ended in the blink of an eye. my attachment is starting tmr! really dun feel like working after having so much fun but tats life. hope my attachment will be fun too : ) . went to cut my hair a bit shorter coz really scared will leave a bad impression on my supervisor. there goes my hair that i wanted to keep. i've been considering whether to try a long hairstyle after army as i had never had long hair b4. hesitated for so long coz its very hot and not suitable for me as i often do sports. but after much encouragement from my hairstylist i decided to go ahead and try. just when i was quite pleased with the progress i had to cut my hair! can only blame myself for not planning properly : ( . maybe will try again after tis month, maybe not. hmm....time to sleep. WORK STARTS TMR....
