anatomy and physiology test is over! it was hell studying for it as the brain is really complex stuff, especially women's (more on that later ;) ). didnt study at all during the chinese new year week so all in all i only had 2 days to study. was getting quite stressed up coz i know that i couldnt afford to fail this test. i also dont know why a mid sem test was getting to me which was quite uncalled for as there are still the practical test and end sem exam to score. maybe its the guilt for enjoying the whole week away without as much as a glance at my notes. maybe its the unconscious realisation that im not young anymore and i cant afford to repeat any modules. anyway im glad that the paper was manageable. i panicked when i saw the essay questions and the first few mcqs initially. i thought i was going to flunk this paper real bad. luckily the mcqs got easier and more and more points for the essays somehow came to me like a domino effect as i started writing.
went for psychology lecture afterwards. the attendance was an all time low as many of us were just too tired and went home and many of the physiotherapy students skipped the lecture as they have a test tmr. here's where the complex woman's brain come in. was learning about depression today. our young lecturer andy was saying our society is recognising the seriousness of depression and the health promotion board even made a commercial about it. however he personally doesnt like the commercial as it showed a depressed woman and not a man. he said man can also be depressed and in fact, women are the cause of many men's depression. here's the example he gave as to why men are "depressed" by women.
man and woman are shopping when woman suddenly gushed about something thats very beautiful.
M: Do you like it?
W: Yes.
M: Do you want it?
W: No.
M: You sure you liked it but dont want it?
W: Yes.
M: Okay, lets go then.
before the guy knows it, hell is unleashed on him.
haha...i can empathise with him. actually i think all guys who have had contact with women do. andy carried on about how ridiculous it is to not speak ur mind and then blaming guys for it. at this point i applauded(literally) him and some guys in the lecture hall followed suit. credits to him for saying the truth women dont want to hear in a predominantly female lecture hall (no, no books were thrown at him. women always get back in the strangest ways) ;) . just something to share about boring school life before i sleep.
ps: lost $70 playing blackjack on sat...feeling the pinch right now as there are so many things i need to buy. especially when i won ard 100 before going into deficit :(
