had my communcation presentation on thursday. i think everything went quite well for me except for one part where i forgot my script. we did a debate for the topic good communicators are made, not born and a short video clip of a skit in a clinical setting. our speeches for the debate were a bit wordy and draggy but i think it was good overall with the few unsuccessful meetings we tried to have.
took part in yet another beach volley competition, this time organised by safra radio. it was a one set single round knock out system and guess who i drew against. a team comprising 2 guys from the champion team for the quiksilver student challenge and 2 guys from the second runner up. was cursed and sweared by my team mates for not drawing against the all girls teams or some other teams. although we lost i felt that this team that i formed this time played a lot better than the one at the quiksilver. being the cheapskate i am, i was quite happy with both our performance and the free goodie bag ;) (no registration fee).
went to help out at teck ghee cc's "super sunday", a family day carnival. was supposed to scare kids in the "haunted house" wearing scary costumes. we got our desired effect as kids were crying for their mummies. ate a lot of food and ice cream from the food stalls as food for the helpers is free...hehe. got myself a nice henna on my left shoulder by michael too.

My skin colour is actually a darker shade than the henna dye. sheesh.
read chun meng's analogy on our school life and suddenly remembered what my friend told me before. after knowing how packed my time table is like, he asked me what is my profession's starting pay. i told him its roughly 1800 for males and he was like "wah u all study like siao yet the pay so little ah". *#%_!(@$%!! okie let us not compare with him coz he's from ntu business and they have like 3 days week. but our time table is really fucked up. its almost 9 to 5 everyday and there's days that we start at 9am and end at 8pm. there are quizzes every week that will constitute 5-10% of our grade. yea its not a lot but we dont want it to cause us to get one or two grade lower just because we didnt prepare for the stupid quizzes. our semester breaks are short and ill-timed. so much for the "elective" module that was chosen for us. little wonder im not catching up with friends and not meeting new ones. dont tell me the crap that when i start to work its the same. im still a student and should still enjoy my student life. and i dont even have to study for stupid quizzes after i knock off from work.
whew~.... all my frustration for the current sem is all out. alrite lets look forward to the ONE week break after our tests this coming week (read: no blogging).
ps: just to clear any misconception, physiotherapists are not masseurs. they just happen to learn how to give very good massages ;).
