watched memoirs of a geisha yesterday. i tink its a nice movie no matter what all u critics who have read the book say. one review also said that it was a mistake to make them speak english but i tink its not tat bad. they managed to converse in english (to appeal to a larger audience) and yet maintain the japanese flavour. and zhang ziyi is so pretty with her "bluish gray" eyes! "i see water in your eyes". haha.
went for my 1st salsa class at the expense of the ivp match. yes i've signed up for salsa class in my sch. only learnt the basic steps, a simple right turn and the musiclogy today but i can foresee that its gonna be so much fun! our instructor already promised to take us to a salsa club after our 3rd lesson. how exciting would tat be?! 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 (dancing away...) :p

woohoo~! went to sun yanzi's concert yesterday. my fren called me on fri and asked me whether i want to watch sun yanzi's concert free. i had something on originally but i cancelled it as anyone in their right mind would. okie make tat anyone who like sun yanzi's songs will. the concert was fantastic. i was going to bring my camera along but as the battery was still charging, i decided not to bring it as i thought the complimentary seats was going to be very far from the stage. boy was i wrong! we got the second most expensive tickets and our view was not bad. after seeing the people in front of us took so many nice photos i really regretted not bringing my own camera. guessed what i did? i asked the gers in front of me to send me their photos...haha. dunno whether they will be so nice to keep their word. i'll be waiting. thanks once again to elaine for the tics and rain for asking =) .

happy new year everyone! had a wonderful time over the new year day's weekend. went to the 4 day 3 night camp mumbo chalet. played soccer, basketball, ultimate frisbee, blind cat at the playground, cards, sang ktv, rollerblade, ate and basically just relax after a tiring week at raffles hospital.
there's only one incident at the chalet that im quite unhappy about. some of them prepared a sumptous spread for dinner while we were playing cards in the room. after preparing they took lotsa photos without us. i dun even mind them not calling us coz they are proud of their hard work so they wanted to take photos. but when its time to eat they just crowd ard the table to savour their dishes without tinking about the ppl behind them (the ppl playing cards). seeing they are not initiative enough i said to the person in front of me to move a bit coz there are ppl behind and the reply i got was "hey at least i got help to prepare the food hor". i knew we were being discriminated against right from the start coz we didnt help so i retorted that u can tell me earlier and i will be more than willing to buy my own dinner if that's the case. if u are kind enough to prepare something for the group why are u so narrow minded to discriminate against the ppl who dont help and tink that u deserve to eat first? if u are not in the spirit of giving, then dont. im more than glad to prepare or buy my own meal. then wat about those ppl who cant cook? are they going to be discriminated in your group? im also not a fussy eater and i think it is my preference not to go to so much trouble to have one meal. and how is one going to help with 10 ppl ard a so so small kitchen? its just a small incident but i cant stand some of their attitudes whenever they do something for the group.
din stay at the chalet the 2nd night coz i went to work at this mini cooper party. its a invite only party and its typical of those rich and famous's functions. champagnes were served in test tubes on racks and servers were going ard with finger food. there were bars which u can go to for cocktails. ppl going ard taking free polaroids for u with the cars. everyone knows everyone. anyway my job was just to stand there and smile to the guests. quite easy money. managed to get 3 other ppl staying in my area so i din go back to the chalet as planned. shared a cab home from redhill for only 5 bucks...hee.
finally handed in my case study. i din start on it till this week. did on torn shoulder labrum. did quite a lot of research on it. once again i proved to be the ultimate procastinator by leaving it till the last night and doing till 5am in the morning. still im glad i did quite an okay job (i tink) and its finally done.
ivp is coming soon and im not at all excited about it coz i know im not going to start games. my receiving of the ball in indoor court is still damn lousy and the coach is quite biased. so not much chance there. no chance of them going past the 1st round either coz i dun tink they are motivated enough to win.
wat a long post. started out lazy to blog but once im in the mood, im so long winded...haha. another public holiday is coming soon...yea!~!
