just finished one litre of tears...a jap drama serial. its abt this ger aya who contracted spinocerebellar degeneration, a incurable neuro disease at the age of 15. before this she was a bright student of tokyo high school and got into the main basketball team in her freshie year. as the class monitress, she also managed to convince her class of self-centered students to do their best for a class singing performance. her crush on her senior is also starting to work out. she seems to have a perfect life...until the disease strike her. her muscles began wasting away and she will not be able to walk, talk or even eat in the future. her senior deserted her because he was afraid of trouble. in the midst of her courageous battle with the disease, a male classmate stood by her alongside her supportive and loving family.
this is really a very touching serial. there are so many tear-wrenching scenes. these are some of my favourite scenes.
-------------------------Spoiler Alert----------------------------
1) When her younger sister scolded her youngest brother for not standing up for her in front of his friends when they made fun of her walking because he felt ashamed of her as he had told his friends that his sister is a pretty and smart ger who plays very good basketball earlier on.
2)When she went back to her classroom to take something she forgot, she accidentally came across a class discussion abt her. only then did she know that her classmates are very unhappy with her for slowing down the class and even her close frens are finding it hard to help her with her daily activities every day. she decided to quit tokyo high and join a special school after this and gave a touching farewell speech.
3) The way she looked at asou in the sunset after her teacher's wedding. she had just given him a farewell letter saying they should not see each other again because they are in different world. she looked so happy when the bouquet of flowers her teacher threw fell into her lap. but now she had to make such a tough decision and she cried in front of her parents tat night. when they asked her y she wrote tat letter to asou, she just asked them one question and continued to cry silently. "Can i ever get married?"
