fell sick on mon night. had a slight toothache the whole day but it got worse as i was sleeping during the night. couldnt sleep at all and i developed a fever along with the toothache. woke up feeling better on tuesday morning so i went to work. however i was feeling very tired and weak from not sleeping and the fever. managed to survive the day and dragged myself home. took my temperature when i reached home and its 38. i was so tired i fell asleep without eating dinner till 10pm. when i woke up, my temp was already 38.5. decided that i wont be able to last the next day so i went to take a mc. really hate falling sick. it really throws me off my already very tight schedule. haven get any running under my belt for my ippt next month. cant afford to fail...no time for remedial training.

fireworks last sat was sublime. it was so nice to be sitting at the floating platform gallery away from the crowd and have a frontal view of the fireworks. the company from china managed to put up a fascinating show. i felt it was even better than the few shows i saw last year. maybe it was because of the good view. maybe it was because of the music. much thanks to belle for getting the tics :). shall post the videos and photos up soon. meantime watch this video i uploaded on youtube :)

golf was fun today. had trouble adjusting at first but managed to improve. with the proper technique i can hit slightly further now. still need more refinement so i can do tat more consistently.

looking forward to every weekend :) . yay i got tics to next sat fireworks celebration at the floating platform!

went to this restaurant ma maison at bugis junction recently. its located on the 2nd floor of parco where most of the restaurants are. ma maison means "my home" in french and its efforts to make the place cosy are obvious. the decor is very cottage like...probably like northern france. the lighting is perfect. the food here is one of a fusion between japanese and french. heard many ppl mentioned that the food here is mediocre but i beg to differ. not tat the food here is heavenly but there are a few nice dishes. one of the appetiser to try is the escargots. its chewy and juicy and taste gd with the right amount of butter. forgot to take any picture of this dish though.

the hamburger steak is one of the nice main course to try. try it either the normal way or in japanese sauce like we did. the japanese sauce taste rather unique and complements the soft hamburger steak well. why did i take photo of the steak only when its half eaten? coz i took some time to figure out how to use belle's camera in low light condition ;) .

squid ink spaghetti. one of the taboo thing to eat during a date...haha. but the squid ink spaghette at ma maison is worth staining ur teeth black during the date. the texture and taste are just right. once again its half eaten...hee.

hopefully can see the decor of the place in this photo. really like the ambience of the place. guess what im holding in my hand?

a brass key with our table no on it. you'll have to bring this to the cashier during payment. speaking of which, the above cost 70+ with 2 glasses of sparking wine. reasonable enough. other things to try are beef straganov rice, prawns and scallops gratin and carbonara. do give it a visit sometime :)
